Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom…” Col. 3:16
I have some awesome friends. I keep meaning to tell you about them, but they’re so awesome you might become engrossed in their stuff to the point that you stop reading mine. I’ve decided to risk it.
You should read these blogs, because these people are the real deal, and God has gifted them in ways that will undoubtedly add substance to your life. Here ya’ go, some of my blogger friends, in no particular order:
Pam Gibbs. If you have any interest whatsoever in youth culture, particularly girls’ ministry, Pam is a deep well of valuable information. I mean, where else are you going to find out that college students are doing alcohol enemas at frat parties? I’m a little jealous I didn’t hear that story before she did. Anyway, Pam’s blog extends even beyond teen culture. She uses personal experience to encourage those in the middle of career struggles, depending on God’s Word to point the way. She’s also a really great writer, and she’ll make you think. www.pamgibbs.org
Mandy Crow. Mandy is another one who isn’t afraid to lay it out there. She’s a thinker, and authentic in the way she applies truth. She also gives me writing assignments and edits some of my stuff, so feel free to comment on her blog about how much you love me. Do it up big, too. Use words like: compelling, riveting, life-changing, and book deal. Seriously, you’ll love Mandy’s highly introspective faith ponderings. Plus, it’s her birthday today, so check it out. http://unfinishedbusiness1001.wordpress.com/
Darla Baerg. I think Darla and I might have been separated at birth. I mean, I love Chick-fil-A, she loves Chick-fil-A. I went to Tallowood Baptist in Houston; she goes to Tallowood Baptist in Houston. I love to speak and write; she loves to speak and write. I laugh at everything; she laughs at everything. I went to Texas A&M; Darla secretly wishes she’d gone to Texas A&M:) Darla and I have vowed to work together sometime in the future. I think you’ll see why I like that idea. http://i-get-to.blogspot.com/
Angie Nichols. Ahhh, Angie. This girl likes words! She’s deep, too. Way deep. The thing is, her depth comes from a really special place that’s foreign to most of us. She has faced the most difficult of life circumstances, and through it, found a place of wholeness in relationship with Jesus that has compelled her to devote her life to knowing Him more and making Him known. If you like to study Scripture, read Angie’s stuff. She’s just getting started in an exciting new ministry, too. Take a look! http://www.somethingabundantministries.org/
Okay, that’s probably enough for now. Go learn from my friends!
P.S. If you’re my friend and you blog (regularly) and I didn’t include you here, let me know!
